Happy Birthday Emma.

Let me introduce you to my sister.She is the kind of person anyone would call the perfect Sister. One of the most amazing person I have ever come across. A lady who holds her values and principles head high, never caving in to any sort of influence. Her determination and hardwork is out of this world, she always has everything figured out. She is one of the few individuals who would never cheat in an exam because she knows that is wrong. The kind of lady who has motherly instincts, because she puts everyone first. A lady who declares her stand and stick to it because she is not a peoples' pleaser and she knows what she deserves. She posseses character which you might read in motivation stories or in the books of stories of legends. Her name is Emma.


Growing up we were not always the best of friends. Did we fight oftenly? yes. Did she always win in the fights? Oh Yes.Was I a lazyhead while she went around doing things for me? Yes. Did I get compared to her at school? Yes. Did she get scolded for something I had secretly done? Yes. Was I secretly jealous when she got a Kshs 999 camera after passing her K.C.S.E? Yes. Did I jealously admire the mwalimu jini shoes she was bought for by a relative during one of the holidays? Yes. Did she boss me around? OH YES...She was just being Emma.


I must say my sister and I are totally different... I prefer getting creative, she prefers Maths. I am weird and crazy, she is reserved and composed. My ideal saturday evening is indoors having a glass of wine, hers is somewhere tucked enjoying bible study. I can dance, she has two left feet. When we are both thirsty? I run for a guarana, she sips flavoured water. I love bright lipstick, she loves gloss. My mum wants to discuss a serious issue, she calls who first? Yes...because that's who Emma is.But they say unlike poles attract, you see Emmah isnt just my sister, she is my support system, my life line and my lucky Charm. Post Campus life she supported me financially, Moving out on my own she gave me the basic items, My job that I love and enjoy was through her, Last year when I had hit Rock bottom she was there for me. She is my number one blog fan, My number one Boboh Crafts fan, my interpretor for hard financial terms, my ride or die partner - I'd have used the B word but then again its Emma we are talking about.


My sister spreads Love, She brings people together and that's why today as she celebrates one year older, I want to raise a toast and wish her all the love and happiness the universe can offer. May all her dreams and wishes come true. May her spirits reach new heights, as freely as a butterfly's wings. May her heart be filled with joy, the profound joy of simple things. May she live long, long enough to see the grandchildren of my grandchildren.


I hope this message brings a smile to her face and a twinkle to her eyes because eternal happinness is simply what I wish for my Best Friend.
